WALLBOARD SHIPMENT VOLUME ANNOUNCED FOR 2006

WASHINGTON, DC – According to statistics complied by the Gypsum Association, the United States gypsum board industry shipped a total of 35.028 billion square feet of material during calendar year (January - December) 2006. During the same period, Canadian manufacturers shipped 3.371 billion square feet of material.

The Gypsum Association is in its 77 th year of service as the technical, promotion, and information center of the gypsum industry. The Association, representing companies located throughout the United States and Canada, is based in Washington, DC.
